The hotel was charming, with the decor in keeping with the heritage of the building. It was an easy walk to a main square, yet on a quiet side street. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was delightful with a full array of choices, including a fresh orange juice press (or commercial) and a boil-your-own egg bath. Having a lift in such an old building was a blessing - and a real consideration for us.
Location is perfect, close to the Vrijthof. Restaurant looked lovely, but we didn't eat there.
Excellent location. Excellent staff. Room was a little small, but that's what you get in this old part of town. The next door apartment was luxurious by Maastricht standards.
Good basic hotel with nothing extra, but clean, nice staff etc
You could hear everything through the walls. The street was quiet most of the time but when there were people walking by you caould hear everything.
The location was perfect. and the abiance very beautifull!
The rooms are very boorly isolated! So noise comes in from every where! From inside the hotel (cleaning very early on!) as from the street the noise was so that it cept me awake!
Spacious room; good restaurant; convenient location; pleasant staff;
Disappointing breakfast:poor breadj no hot food, E.G. eggs.
The hotel is well situated in the heart of the old quarter surrounded by lovely bars and cafes to eat outside on a nice evening. Eating in is good but expensive.
Our room was roomy but lacked some of the facilities that we expected for the amount charged
Great building (1700's) in quiet classic neighbourhood in the middle of the cultural center and close to abundant Maastricht shopping opportunities. Included breakfast very complete. Also great restaurant with very good value for money.
The location. Staff is friendly.
I asked for a room at the back and got one at the front; thought it would not be too noisy, but there is a lot of noise at night from the streets. People at the front office were smoking.
Good breakfast. Nice room (despite located on front side, not noisy). Elevator (in a historic building). Parking facilities when required. We have been here before and that was reason to come back.
Very nice neighbourhood
Parking places, lack of information at reception
Very friendly staff, a cozy atmosphere.. We really enjoyed staying at this fine hotel. Its not far from the city center and cheaper considering other options.
The room at road side is really loud. You can hear every word, every step of the pedestrians outside also the the cleaners on the street and their trucks etc.. Another unpleasant thing that they have no sign to put on door if you dont wanna be disturbed. We got staff walking on us several times and they dont speak English only dutch and french
Nice and authentic breakfast and dinner facilities.
Rooms at street side noisy
The location, the restaurant and the room which was very large.
Moderately priced, well maintained small hotel conveniently located in the heart of the old section of Maastricht. Free wireless internet access. Friendly staff. Reasonable restaurant attached to hotel.
Like most of Maastricht, difficult to approach by car. Hotel does offer parking (€15 per day) in an alley about a three minute walk away. Rooms facing the street can be noisy. No A/C or fans.
